Seth Samuel "Rusty" Hazen
March 14th, 2006 - October 3rd, 2021
Seth Samuel Hazen ""Rusty"", 15, of North Port, Florida, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 3, 2021. Seth was born on March 14, 2006, in Plymouth, Indiana to his parents, Daniel and Kandi Hazen. On June 28, 2014, Seth was led to Christ in his heart through Jase Robertson from Duck Dynasty at South Biscayne Church in North Port, Florida. Even though Seth's time on earth was short, he left so many precious memories for his family and friends to treasure for a lifetime. His smile would light up any room and all he ever wanted was to make everyone laugh. He always had big dreams and he was determined to accomplish any task set before him. He had many passions, from cruising around listening to music with his brother Eli, mastering how to play an electric guitar without lessons, from being able to do many tricks on his bike, and he could ride the longest wheelie. He also had a passion for his dream car, a 1997 Miata, which he was restoring so it would be ready when he got his driver's license. Seth was a very talented artist, there wasn't anything he couldn't draw or create. When he was in elementary school, he was chosen for his license plate design and in the 8th grade, he was invited to the White House in Washington, D.C. to meet the 45th President of the United States for his Academic Excellence. He loved to travel and loved exploring new things and scenery. One of his favorite past times was hanging out at the North Port Skate Park with his friends. Seth will always be remembered by his amazing talent as an artist, guitarist, and a trick bike enthusiast. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his brother, Tanner Hazen; paternal grandparents, Russell and Marjorie Hazen. Seth is survived by his loving parents, Daniel and Kandi Cave Hazen, of North Port; brothers, Eli Hazen of North Port, Austin (Megan) Hazen, of Beverly, WV; sisters, Crystal Hazen (Matt) of Noblesville, IN, Jenny Hazen of Knox, IN, Amanda Hazen (Adam) of Warsaw, IN; maternal grandparents, Terry and Patsy Cave of Rochester, IN, maternal grandparents, Jim and Rita Jenkins of Rochester, IN; numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins; 2 fur buddies, Ruba and MooMoo. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent in Seth's honor to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention.
