Elaine Greene of Venice, Florida died May 31, 2021. She was born Elaine Edith Wood on August 10, 1930 to Kenneth and Mabel (Braunsdorf) Wood in Hillsboro, Wisconsin. Elaine married Bennie Hubert Greene on July 23, 1950. They resided in Dodge Center, Minnesota for over 30 years and moved to Venice, Florida in 1983. Elaine continued to live in Venice until her death. Elaine lived a long and fruitful life. While in Dodge Center she drove school bus for many years (and continued to drive bus in Venice, Florida for many more years). She was a volunteer EMT and an active member of Faith Lutheran Church. She enjoyed painting, drawing, gardening, knitting, crocheting, butterflies, her large family, and being a foster parent to many children. She wrote a book about Bennie's health challenges, titled ""The Doctors Said No, But God Said Yes."" Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ben and her second husband Daniel Edgar Jenson. She is survived by her brother Donald (Joan) Wood of Aztec, NM and all seven of her children; Brian (Chris) Greene, Brice (Kris) Greene, Bruce (Brenda) Greene, Brent (Mary Williams-) Greene, Brady (Katrina) Greene, BrenÄ (Mike) McNulty and Breta (Bernie) LeVasseur, 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Bennie in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center, Minnesota after a memorial service this summer.
