Trula Mae Smith Johnson

Trula Mae Smith Johnson, age 89 passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, Maryland. Trula was an avid reader and enjoyed playing games on her Kindle. She also belonged to a bridge group that played every Tuesday. Trula was devoted to her family and especially enjoyed when they were all together. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Johnson Jr.; parents, Henry and Mary Smith; sister, Shirley Dorton; brothers, Joe and Donnie Smith. Survivors include her daughters; Debbie Taylor ( Bob Fitzpatrick) and Karen Easterling; grandchildren, Kelly Oland (Bart), Kristy Taylor, Keith Easterling, and Steven Easterling; great-grandchildren, Breanna and Skylar Oland, Evan and Zaviar Younker, and Zachary Easterling; along with a host of friends and extended family. The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 2 pm on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Scott County Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Holston View Cemetery with Pastor Layton Bentley officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
