Robert H. Seemann, 92, of Venice, FL passed away peacefully on January 31, 2016. Robert was born August 21, 1923 in Marion, OH to Daniel and Bess (Sheridan) Seemann. He was a Superintendent of Equipment for Amtrak in Washington, DC, active member of the Capri Isles Golf Club, American Legion Post 159, VFW and the 14th AAF Flying Tigers Association. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Quilter) Seemann in 2014; his sister, Patti Jones, his sister-in-law, Rosie Seemann and brother-in-law, Michael Kozub. Survivors include his daughter, Suzanne Kozub of Venice, FL; sons, Robert (Roni) Seemann, Jr. of Austin, TX and Scott (Mary) Seemann of Hebron, MD; a sister, Joan (Lee) Gannon of Venice and two brothers, Dan Seemann and John (Carol) Seemann. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Epiphany Cathedral. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice Inc., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34238. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
