Ruth Caroline Aspnes
August 21st, 1929 - March 20th, 2012
Ruth Caroline Aspnes went Home to the Lord on March 20th, 2012. Ruth was born in Seattle, Washington on August 21, 1929. She was the fifth child of Marius and Marie Stadsnes (Ness). Ruth is survived by her loving children, David (Janet) Aspnes, Danny Aspnes, Debbie (Mike) Gilmer; grandchildren Brian (Brenda) Aspnes, Terra (Jeff) Enns, Julie Aspnes, Lisa and Heather Gilmer and great-grandchildren Sierra and Carson Aspnes, Ethan and Callie Enns and brother-in-law Dale (Marlys) Aspnes. Ruth also leaves many nieces and nephews. Ruth was a dedicated volunteer for many years with the Dr. Simon Cantril Auxiliary at Stevens Hospital in Edmonds, WA. She enjoyed getting together with her ladies as she lovingly called them, and making handmade hats and many other things for the newborn babies and the new mothers. She always enjoyed having the group over at her house for their monthly meetings and where theyd all gather around her dining room working on projects together.Ruth and her husband, Lyle, had a long and wonde life together. They were just one month shy of their 63rd wedding anniversary when Lyle passed away on June 7, 2010. Lyle built the home in Lynnwood, WA, where they lived for more than 50 years.Just prior to Ruths journey to Heaven, she called out to her husband Lyle whom she had missed so very much. They are now at Peace and together again.Those we love dont go away They walk beside us every day Unseen, unheard, but always near Still loved, still missed and very dear. Anonymous Announcement: In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Childrens Hospital or American Diabetes Association.
