Mathilda Johnson, age 82, of North Port, FL, died on May 23, 2015. She was born in Bodenheim, Germany on March 8, 1933, and came to the United States in 1957. Mathilda worked for Red Lobster in Newport News, VA before moving to North Port. Surviving family members include her husband, Wayne; children Alex, Docie, Peggy, and Billie; brother Georg Beckenbach; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Farley Funeral Home, North Port, from 6 - 8 pm on Thursday, May 28th. Graveside services will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on Friday, May 29th at 10 AM.
