John Eldon Bustard, Jr.

John Eldon Bustard, Jr., born September 21, 1929 in Grosse Point, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home in Edmonds, WA May 16, 2013 after battling cancer. John was married to the love of his life, Anna, for over 58 years and was the loving father of eight children, fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grand-children. He served in the U.S. Navy post WWII and in the Korean War. As a Navy corpsman he served honorably with many unspoken accomplishments. After his discharge he went to Nebraska where he met and married Anna Gapa. John has been a member of the VFW and was the American Legion Commander for Post #66 Edmonds. His patriotism, love of Country and the Legion was exemplary-always contributing to p rovide leadership opportunities for the youth of the community. Johns other passion was the sport of shooting. He loved to shoot with his buddies at Seattle Rifle and Pistol, always trying to perfect the most accurate load. John retired from Boeing in 1992 as a Computer Systems Analyst. Retirement provided him time to participate more actively with the VFW and American Legion. Announcement: Donations in his memory can be made to the American Legion Post #66, P.O.
