Nancy Lee Neubauer passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Harborview Hospital, Seattle Washington. She was born on February 8, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and Betty Lee Neubauer, brother-in-law William Rice and niece Katie Puthoff. She is survived by two beloved sisters, Rebecca Rice and Beverly Puthoff and her husband Curtis, nephews David Rice and his wife Danielle, Matthew Rice, niece Ellen Puthoff, grandnephews Kaleb and Jacob Rice, and numerous caring friends. Nancy was a beautiful woman who was fiercely independent, very proud, and passionate about life-long learning. She loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit almost every continent. In her travels, she collected many unique items reflective of the culture and people of these countries. She was an avid reader, loved music, movies, jigsaw puzzles, libraries and festivals. One of her favorite pastimes was attending cultural and arts festivals where she could appreciate and celebrate the talent of local artists. A celebration of her life with close friends and family will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 where her remains will be placed in Puget Sound and carried out by gentle waves to the beautiful Pacific Ocean that she so loved.She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her and whose lives were blessed and enriched by her love and friendship. She lived her life with intention. She walked to the edge, listened hard, laughed, tried to practice wellness, played with abandon, continued to learn, appreciated her friends, choose with no regrets, did what she loved, and lived as if this is all there is.
