John Ebert, beloved Husband, Father, and Papa, passed away on Sunday, November 2 in his home with his wife and daughter by his side. Born in Seattle on January 29, 1924, John grew up in the Beacon Hill neighborhood and attended ODea High School. After serving in the Navy during WWII, John returned to Seattle and married his sweetheart Marjorie Coney and began a 40-year career as a Master Plumber at University Mechanical Contractors. Freeway Waterpark and the Northgate Mall are just a few projects that benefitted from Johns expertise. Settling in Shoreline, John and Marnie had two children, Phillip and Ellen. His faith and family were always his priorities. John was an avid dancer and tennis player, and he could fix pretty much anything. John truly found joy in the small things, from a day trip to Decn Pass to grilling steaks for the family dinner. John and Marnie celebrated 50 years of marriage together until Marnie passed away in 1998. In 2000, John married the second love of his life, Sylvia Ekdahl, and they spe5 happy years together dancing, playing cards with friends, and taking daily walks. Both John and Sylvia were actively involved in St. Marks Parish. John was a Parish Sacristan, Eucharistic Minister, and a reading volunteer at St. Mark School. John was preceded in death by his son (Phillip) and his wife (Marnie). John is survived by his wife Sylvia (her 5 children: Larry (Kim), Lyle (Jane), Darcy (Michael), Leo (Stacy), Ronald (Melinda), and 17 grandchildren), daughter Ellen Noel (Rob) and his two grandchildren Brian Noel, and Laura Noel. We will all miss this wonde man with his clear blue eyes, gentle smile, and helping hands. We love you, John. We love you, Papa. Announcement: Donations in Johns memory can be given to: St. Vincent de Paul, c/o St. Mark Parish, 18033 - 15 Ave. NE, Shoreline, WA 98155
