Jack Lee Gilbert, age 75, of Venice, Florida, passed away on May 17, 2014. He was born on November 3, 1938 in Akron, Ohio. He worked for the Ford Motor Company for 37 years. Jack was a veteran of the US Army and was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Venice. He is survived by his wife, Dalila Chan Gilbert and a daughter, Kimberly Schulz. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Michael & Rebecca Thresher. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Venice. Jack will be laid to rest at Sarasota National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Venice, c/o Building Fund, 312 W.
