On January 1, 2016, God welcomed Mary into his loving arms. Mary is survived by her devoted husband Vern of 67 years and her three children Gary, Janice and Kimberly, and our beloved dogs Tina, Kona and kitties Cooper, Chubby, and Fang in spirit. Mary was born in Renton, Washington by an immigrant family and moved to Seattle, where they set up our family Panzica, Porcello grocery store of 50 years. She graduated from Garfield High School in 1943. She enjoyed horseback riding and roller skating. It was at the rink where she met the love of her life. In 1948 she married Vernon Rollins, moved to Glendale California for two years, and worked as a secretary while Vern went to trade school for electronics. They returned to Seattle and bought their home in 1955. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed designing and creating new and exciting things for her home and family. She was the director, and Vern was the master builder. Marys deep love and compassion for people and animals led her and Vern on a 45 year journey together of grooming, breeding, and raising schnauzers in their home. A lifetime of customers and memories that became our second family. Along with her enjoyment of collecting special series collector plates, she had a tremendous love and fascination for elephants, which ended up building a large and unique collection through the years. Mary was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in December 2014. Her strong love of her family and will to live allowed her to see the changing of the seasons, and reach a milestone of her 90th birthday on October 24, 2015. She was able to enjoy her familys Christmas tree and her holiday collector plates and decorations that she loved so much, one last time. On New Years Day, the Solemnity celebration (the Feast) of Mary, God welcomed her peacefully relieving her of her long time struggles with pain, and allowed her to ... let go. Her love and spirit will live in the hearts of many. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Cancer Society or your local Animal Shelter.
