Victoria Aline Carroll, also known as Aline Lucille Carroll, a resident of Edmonds since 1969, passed away on April 25, 2015. Although Victoria became homebound over the last few years, she remained a brilliant light to all who loved and knew her. Born in California, Aline grew up in the Carmel Valley, later moving with her family to the Dallas Fort Worth area. She was gifted with a beautiful singing voice, and although she passed on an opportunity to sing with the Metropolitan Opera in favor of raising her family, she did perform Ave Maria on the Lawrence Welk Show. In later years she was very engaged in Musical Comedies and choral performances. Her gracious and bubbly demeanor spilled over in her time in France and Spain in the mid-sixties, where she was instrumental in hosting Officer Wives Club luncheons for such renowned people as Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco, author James Michener and actor David Niven, as well as hosting a radio program called Love Marriage on Armed Forces Radio. In later years, she became an accomplished realtor, held the Executive Director of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society for Washington, Oregon and Idaho, and was later nominated president for Women for Integrity in the Nation. Aline changed her name to Victoria in 1989. She worshipped her children and had many loving friends that shared her passion for life and all the beauty it contained. Victoria Aline Carroll is survived by her three children: Valerie Fogel, Blaine Fogel and John Carroll. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Matthew Brummitt, Ryan Brummitt, Ashley Fogel, Emily Fogel and Kayley Fogel; she was also the proud great grandmother to Andrew, Tyler, Chase, Jackson, Hudson and Nicholas Brummitt. She leaves in her wake her tall daughter, DeAnne Dodson and lifetime friend, Diane Buell. She will always be fondly remembered with great love. Services at Becks Funeral Home 405 Fifth Ave S in Edmonds, WA on May 9, 2015 at 2:00PM Announcement: It was Victorias wish in lieu of flowers; a donation to PAWS or the Humane Society be made.
