Charlotte E. Kakes, age 87, of Venice, Florida, passed away on November 6, 2009. She was born on April 25, 1922 in Amsterdam, New York and she moved to Venice from Concord, Massachusetts. She is survived by her three children, Stephen Kakes of Weston, Massachusetts, Karleen Mattison of Naples, Florida and Denise Smith of Montrose, Colorado. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A service will be held at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, Massachusetts. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
