Joan Harriett (Turnbaugh) Sullivan, beloved wife of Frank Owen Sullivan, passed away on January 31, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in 1930, Joan grew up in Westfield, NJ and received a BA in Education from Bucknell University. She is survived by her husband of 56 years; a daughter, Daryl Kennedy of Venice; a son, Mark of Minneapolis and grandchildren, Amanda Kennedy, Michael Sullivan and Sean Sullivan. A visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 from 5:00-7:00PM at Farley Funeral Home in Venice. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 11:00AM with a visitation to be held one hour prior at Farley Funeral Home in Venice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Venice Regional Medical Center, the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen for the Cure (Breast Cancer Foundation) or to the Brooke’s Legacy Animal Rescue, Inc. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
