David Armand Corsaletti

Nov 12, 1948 — Jun 26, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David (“Dave”) Armand Corsaletti on June 26, 2026, in Ione, CA, at the age of 77. Dave was born on November 12, 1948, in Ione, CA, to Mary Ruth (Saldonis) and Armando John Corsaletti. He grew up alongside his siblings, Jeanne Hooten and Thomas Corsaletti. In 1974, Dave welcomed his first daughter, Shelley, then in 1978, he welcomed his second daughter, Kelley. He married the love of his life, Shirley Diane Corsaletti (Herman), on December 30, 1989, and together they merged their beautiful families to include his step children Grant and Dana.

Dave was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, cherished great-grandfather, treasured uncle and loyal friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Corsaletti; his children, Shelley (Butch) Wagner, Kelley (Adam) Wertenberger, and Dana (Ben) Hoehenberger; his grandchildren, Andrew Corsaletti (Sarah Goad), Sydney (CJ) Weber, Nikkey (Max) Hemington, Madison (Dustin) Bertero, Halley Wertenberger, Ava Hoehenberger, and Parker Hoehenberger; his 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Armando and Mary, his siblings Tom and Jeanne, and his stepson, Grant, whom he missed dearly.

Dave was the life of every gathering, the one who could make everyone laugh with his quick wit and unforgettable sense of humor. His larger than life personality filled every room, and his stories, jokes, and infectious laugh will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Above all else, Dave was the patriarch of his family. He led with strength, humor, and love, always putting his family first and creating memories that will be treasured for generations. His guidance, wisdom, and steady presence were a source of comfort to those he loved.

Dave dedicated part of his career to serving his community as a correctional officer before following his passion and opening his own boat repair shop, Fishermans Marine, in Ione, CA. Through hard work, integrity, and a passion for helping others, he earned the respect of his customers and community alike. A proud member of the Native Sons, he valued tradition, friendship, and service. When he wasn’t working, he could often be found doing what he loved most: fishing or hunting. He found joy in the simple moments spent surrounded by family and friends.

Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and unconditional love. He taught those around him the importance of family, hard work, loyalty, and never missing an opportunity to laugh. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved by his family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in peace, knowing the love he gave will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Rosary Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. with Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ione, CA. A reception will follow at 1:00 p.m., at the Evalynn-Bishop Hall in Ione, CA.
