Debra Jean Snavely-Ivie passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 in Plymouth, CA at the age of 64 years old in the company of her closest family. She was born in Grass Valley, CA on March 25, 1958, a daughter of Doretha Maxine (Whitaker) and the late William Floyd Snavely.
Debra is survived by her children, Curynn Lapka of Albany, OR and Jay Ivie of Plymouth, CA; brothers, Rob Snavely of Plymouth, CA and Rickey Snavely of Plymouth, CA; grandchildren, Cammry Lapka, Adria Lapka and Elijah Lapka; nieces and nephews Gloria, Michelle, Dyllan, and Allison. She is preceded in death by brothers Mike and Tim.
Debra grew up in Amador County and graduated from Amador High School in 1976. After becoming a mother in 1977 in Grass Valley, she lived in small towns all over Northern California and Southern Oregon. Family and friends could always rely on her selfless care and natural motherly energy. She will be remembered most for bringing a welcoming fun-loving spirit to any interaction. Most of her life she worked in the service industry, starting some 11 years ago at the Pokerville Market as our favorite pizza lady. Previously, she worked at Incahoots for 10 years, proving herself as the steadfast woman her loved ones knew her as. She loved spending time with family, camping and traveling. Some of her favorite things were visiting the ocean and fun with the grandkids at the Amador County Fair. She will be deeply missed and forever loved and appreciated for all that she was in our lives.
