Denise L Hoffman

Denise Louise Hoffman, 52, of San Andreas, CA passed away on January 8, 2017 in Sonora, CA. Memorial services will be held at 11:00, Saturday, January 14, 2017 at San Andreas Community Covenant Church at 261 Treat Avenue, San Andreas, CA. Denise was born in San Andreas to Chuck and Gail Hoffman on December 30, 1964. She went to school at Calaveras High School, and then attended Arizona Automotive Institute after graduation. She worked in landscaping and maintenance at Bret Harte High School, San Francisco State University and Mace Meadows Golf Course before committing herself to domestic animal rescue. Besides her parents, she leaves behind two sisters and their families; Charla Modrell and Cyndie Klorer, both from San Andreas. Denise's biggest passion was animals. She adopted and cared for pets all of her life. She had a heart especially for dogs, but all animals found comfort in Denise's arms. Like animals, her friends and family were drawn to her love, care and generosity. Her enormous heart and quirky sense of humor will be missed. Gardening and camping topped the list of Denise's hobbies. She enjoyed identifying wildflowers and birds with their unique colors and calls. Per Denise's wishes, memorial contributions may be donated to The Humane Society, ASPCA or other animal rescue shelters.
