Elsie Faye Botts

Elsie "Faye" Botts, born on October 26, 1937, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Thomas and Doshia Rice.  Faye passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the age of 88. Residing in Pine Grove, California for 47 years, Faye was a valued member of the Amador County community.

A high school graduate, Faye dedicated 8 years of her career as a hospital aide in the health care industry. Her career began in Auburn, CA at the DeWitt State Hospital for the mentally disabled. When the family moved to Yountville, CA in the Napa Valley, she then continued her health care career at the Veterans Home where she contributed her time and skills for those who served this country. When the family moved to Amador County in 1979 Faye retired to stay home and complete the raising of her children and then to help with the coming grand kids.

She was widowed at the time of her passing.

Faye is survived by her daughter, Beth (Stuart) McNaughtan of Pioneer, CA; son Kenneth (Lisa) Botts of Tomball, TX; grandchildren, Matthew (Amanda), David (Stefani), Kyle (Alexis); six great grandchildren and one on the way, niece Patty (Ken) Habegger of Naperville, IL.  She is preceded by her husband, Tennison LeRoy Botts; four brothers; Bill, Paul, Mickey and Ronald and one sister; Judith.

Elsie Faye Botts’ memory will be cherished by her family and all who knew her.
