Jesse Isaac Hanes
June 20, 1978 — May 31, 2021
Jesse Isaac Hanes, age 42, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, in Ione CA. Jesse was born June 20, 1978, in Redding, CA to William Daniel Hanes and Lynn DeEtte Grijalva (Lundgren).
Jesse moved to Amador County during his high school years, attending Amador High School, where he made some very special lifelong friends. He spent a number of years living in Shelton, WA to be close to his son and later returned, making Ione his home. Jesse owned and operated Mission Electronics Systems, in Martell, working closely with his brother and friend Abe Hanes of Mission IT Solutions.
Jesse attended New Life Church in Sutter Creek where he was involved with the Men’s Ministry, both mentoring and being mentored, developing close friendships along the way. Jesse was very relationship oriented, loved growing deep friendships, wonderful conversations, and had a wickedly fun sense of humor. He could spout off one-line quips faster than we could blink. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with family and friends, caring for others, and being active in community.
Jesse leaves beloved and bereaved family and friends. He was an exceptionally proud father to Isaac Daniel Hanes serving in the Army at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. He loved his daughter in law, Anna. While the light of his life was his granddaughter, Oaklee Alice, age 3 and her soon to arrive baby sister, Phoebe Marie. He loved and admired his little brother, Abraham Tobias Hanes, Abe’s wife, Kandice. His niece and nephew, Sarah and Elijah of Shingle Springs. Jesse also leaves his half siblings, Daniel “Danny” and Katrina “Trinket” of Lake Tahoe. He had been looking forward to going fishing with Danny this summer. He is survived by his father, William Hanes, and his mom, Lynn Grijalva of Ione, CA. Jesse will be missed as well by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life held at New Life Church, 87 W. Ridge Road in Sutter Creek, CA on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at 6:30pm. A reception will follow.
