Richard J. Terranova, age 68, of Sutter Creek, CA passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 in Sutter Creek, CA. He was born on September 27, 1949 in San Jose, CA to the late Andrew Henry Terranova and Marian Ruscigno, and was the beloved husband of Bonnie Terranova.
Upon graduation from Camden High School, he served in the Vietnam War from 1970-1971 and came home with the BRONZE STAR MEDAL for meritorious achievement in ground operations against hostile forces. Rich was a hero to those who knew him well.
Rich was a general contractor and worked 39 years in commercial and residential construction. He enjoyed racing, baseball, football, basketball, golf, and oil painting with Bonnie. He was strong-willed, with a heart of gold.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Bonnie Terranova; daughter, Natalie (Brian) Kanyi, of Martinez, CA; son, Richard D. Terranova, of San Jose, CA; sister, Rochelle Terranova, of Connecticut; niece, Danielle (Charles) Marshall and their daughter, Natalie Rochelle Marshall, of Massachusetts; and grandson, Hudson Kanyi.
Friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery in Dixon, CA. A celebration of life luncheon will follow at Pietros in Vacaville, CA.
