Shirley Ann Cook
Sep 21, 1943 — Apr 10, 2026
Shirley Ann Cook, born on September 21, 1943, in Covin, Alabama, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the age of 82. A resident of Orangevale, California, Shirley dedicated 29 years of her career to the banking industry, where she served as a Vice President.
Shirley was a devoted follower of Jesus and a cherished member of her church’s worship team. She found deep joy in praising God and faithfully serving in worship, where her love for the Lord was evident in all she did. Shirley also deeply loved her church fellowship, treasuring the relationships she built, and the time spent in community with others. Her presence brought warmth, encouragement, and a sense of unity to those around her.
She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, gentle spirit, and compassionate heart. Shirley lived a life rooted in grace and love, always lifting others up and pointing them toward Christ through both her words and actions.
She is survived by her children, Carey (Jim) Hayes Pedroza of Fort Mohave, Arizona, and Brian (Patricia) Cook of Orangevale, California. Shirley's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Christopher James, Ashley, and Bailey, as well as her great-grandchild, Leo.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Cook, and her sister, Barbara Halliburton.
Though she is no longer with us, we find comfort in knowing Shirley is in the presence of the Savior she loved so deeply.
Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service on Monday, April 27, 2026, 12:00 P.M. at Sunset View Cemetery, Garden of Golden Memories, Jackson, CA.
