William Alvin Colvin
November 30, 1949 — April 4, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William “Bud” Colvin, 76, of Jackson,
CA. Bud passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026.
After high school, Bud enlisted in the United States Coast Guard, serving for four years. In
Bud’s working years, he was a bricklayer who was proud of showing off his meticulous work.
He was a dad who would show up, do a backflip into a pool and just laugh! Bud never came to a
family gathering without his homemade chocolate pie. He was a charming man, always the life
of the party with a great sense of humor, an infectious laugh, and a way of putting you at ease
and making everyone feel welcome.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Cathy Colvin, son Matthew Colvin and wife Lauren Colvin,
daughter Kelly Soria and husband Miguel Soria, Step-Son Matthew Allen, grandchildren Declan
Colvin, Finn Colvin, Raquel Soria and Celio Soria, best friend and loving sister Pam Wosick and
her husband Pete Wosick, adoring niece Nette Silva and her husband Chad Silva, Sister-in-law
Debi Simms and niece Robyn Meyers of brother Gary Colvin who preceded him in death, and
so many more loving family and dear friends. We will forever cherish the memories we shared.
May he rest in peace, surrounded by love.
A public celebration of life will be held at the American Legion, Amador Post 108, in Jackson,
CA on April 24th at 3pm.
