Abraham J. Mellitz

MELLITZ, Abraham J., 90 of St. Petersburg. Died Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Toby Weinman Assisted Living Residence. Born in Bridgeport Connecticut, he came here in 1980 from Milford. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a high school science teacher in Bridgeport. He was a member of Congregation B'Nai Israel and it's Men's Club in St. Petersburg. He was a volunteer for Menorah Manor and the Jewish Community Center. Survivors include two sons, Gary, Westhaven, CT., Richard, Irmo, SC; daughter, Cookie Shapiro, Riverdale, NY. four grandchildren. Funeral service will be 1 PM on Sunday, August 6, 2006 at the Central Avenue Chapel with Rabbi J. Leonard Azneer and Hazzan David Sislen officiating. Intrement will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Largo. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Beth David Chapel, 6366 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg is serving the family. Service Information
