November 8, 1930 — April 21, 2017
Ann Arbeiter Siegel Dondero, 86, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away April 21, 2017. Born on November 8, 1930, in a taxi en route to the hospital in Sunnyside, Queens, NY, she grew up in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, graduating from Midwood High School. She lived most of her life in New Jersey, primarily in Metuchen, Jamesburg, and most recently Delran, before moving to St. Petersburg, FL. She worked for ECS, a division of PPG Industries, in Union, NJ. She was pre-deceased by her husband of more than 40 years, Ronald J. Dondero. Survivors include her son, Mark Siegel, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Tampa, FL; daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Richard Abdill, Jr., of Delran, NJ; brother and sister-in law Jay and Suzanne Arbeiter of New York, NY and Delray Beach, FL; grandson and granddaughter-in-law Adam and Bridget Siegel of New York, NY; grandson and granddaughter-in-law Richard III and Lauren Abdill of Minneapolis, MN; granddaughters Katie Abdill of Philadelphia, PA, and Claire Abdill of Delran, NJ, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In the words of all those who knew her, “Nana” was a special lady. She will be dearly missed.
Graveside services will be 11:30 am Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, New Jersey.
The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Central Avenue Chapel in St. Petersburg is serving the family.
