Audrey Mae Whitman Lederman peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 6, 2018. Audrey devoted her time and is beloved and remembered by all for bringing joy to everyone she encountered. She volunteered with many organizations including Hospice/Empath where she was recognized as Volunteer of the Year, as a clown known as "Ladybug," cheering patients in hospitals and nursing homes, as a teacher of gifted students and teachers, as a writer of manuals for gifted education, a camp counselor, and as a mother, Baubie, Great Baubie, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Audrey, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA and Miami, FL, is the MOTHER of Jan Craig, Don Barry and Donna (Riley), Sue Karen Lederman LaNeve and Don LaNeve; GRANDMOTHER of Jonathan Ellis; Adam William, Melanie Erin, Sean Michael, Ryan James, and Tessa Danielle; GREAT GRANDMOTHER of Travis Matthew, Riley Thomas, Liam Joseph, Chase David, Owen James, Miles Paci, Tatum Elaine, Luca David, and Sloane Rene; DAUGHTER of departed Jennie and William H. Whitman of Pittsburgh, PA; SISTER of Robert (departed Fromme) of Boca Raton, FL, and Barbb Whitman Cohn (Larry) Grand of Atlanta, Georgia, and departed Lloyd (departed Shirley) Whitman of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Services will be held graveside only, Curlew Hills Cemetery, 1750 Curlew Rd, Palm Harbor, FL 34683 (727) 789-2000 on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 2 pm. Audrey loved flowers, especially daisies and gardenias, which may be sent to the cemetery. Or in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to organizations that benefit children.
