Brandon Macauley Burke, 30, of St. Petersburg,passed away at home Jan. 16, 2021. He was a 2008 graduate of Osceola High School where he played varsity baseball and was Sr. Homecoming King. He went on to graduate SPC in 2016. He loved the game of baseball and played little league and on many travel ball teams, including playing on Field of Dreams in Cooperstown, NY. He was an avid fan of the Tampa Bay Rays, Buccaneers, and Lightning. He loved spending time with his family and friends cooking out and fishing. He recently started his own business, Glowché, and before that worked in the hospitality business. Brandon was preceded in death by his mother, Sheila M. Rhea; father, John M. Burke lll; maternal grandfather, Harold E. Rhea; and uncle, David E. Rhea. He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Shirley M. Rhea of St. Petersburg; paternal grandparents, John and Grace Burke of North Carolina; fiance, Deanna Hammons; and stepson, Bentley of St. Petersburg; stepmother, Lisa Burke; stepsister, Christina Bowling; stepbrother, Nicolas Bowling and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Gathering of friends and family is January 23, 11-12 with a Celebration of Life at 12 noon at Family Fellowship Center, 5475 54th Ave. N., St. Petersburg, FL, 33709.
The care of Brandon and his family has been entrusted to David C. Gross Funeral Home in St. Petersburg.
