Edwin Frank Matthes

Matthes- Edwin Frank 77 of St. Petersburg passed away Friday March 2, 2007 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital, South Pasadena. Born in Detroit MI, he was a seasonal resident coming from Harrison MI. and was a retired college custodian. He served in the army during the Korean War and was Catholic. Survivors include his wife Janet; two sons Kevin and Eric both of Harrison MI; four daughters Kathleen Metcalfe of St. Petersburg, Debra St. Dennis of Midland MI, Cynthia Przeklasa of Westland MI and Sheila Allen of Harrison MI; two sisters Arlene McGinley and Eleanor Measel both of South Carolina; fourteen grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. David C. Gross Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, Central Avenue Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family. A private cremation has been planned, and no services are scheduled at this time.
