Eleanor Cuipa

CLEARWATER, FLa�"Eleanor M. (Caswell) Cuipa, 78 years old, a resident of Florida for the past ten years, formerly of Lowell, died Thursday, April 30th at the Morton Plant Hospital, in Clearwater, FL. She was married for 58 years to her high school sweetheart, Edward S. Cuipa, Sr., who survives her. She was born in Chelmsford, on April 9, 1930, a daughter of the late Alfred L. and Lena (Lyman) Caswell, and was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1947, where she served as a Girl Officer. Mrs. Cuipa worked for many years as a Telephone Operator for the former AT & T. While living in Lowell she was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. Surviving her besides her husband are three sons and two daughters-in-law: Edward S. Cuipa, Jr., and his wife Joanne, of Lowell; Stephen E. and Sherri Cuipa, of Merrimack, NH; and Michael J. Cuipa, of St. Louis, MO; a daughter: Carol A. Vergados, of Tyngsboro; ten grandchildren: Katelyn Cuipa; Michael Cuipa and his fiancAC. Lisa Murray; Jennifer Vergados; Adam Cuipa; Edward Cuipa, III; Kristen Vergados, and her fiancAC. Jason Hammond; Amanda Lopes; Stephen Cuipa, II; James Vergados, Jr.; and Jillian Vergados. She was the mother-in-law of the late James P. Vergados. Private services were held at the convenience of the family.
