Elisabeth "Betty" Rosamilia

Elisabeth "Betty" Rosamilia, 85 of Gulfport. Passed away at Hospice House at Palms of Pasadena Hospital on Wednesday, May 28th, 2008. She was predeceased by her husband Mike. Betty spent much of her life in New Jersey, growing up on a farm in Chester and then moving to and working in Belleville, where she and Mike raised 2 children. They were surrounded by many close family members and lived there till their retirement. They moved to St. Pete Beach in 1984. She is survived by her daughter Lesley, of Gulfport and Lesleys's son, Chris DeWys of San Francisco and her son, Tom of Ridgefield, CT. and his wife, Karen Coblens and son, Michael. Betty had been very active in Maximo Presbyterian Church in St. Petersburg, where she had many dear friends. In her retirement she did volunteer work translating textbooks into Braille. Betty started her career as a teacher in Belleville. Later she worked at a bank and trust company where she quickly rose to the level of assistant vice president.
A memorial service will be held at Maximo Presbyterian Church on June 21st , 2008 at 1 p.m. Donations may be sent to the Betty Rosamilia Celebration Fund at the church or to Hospice House of the Florida Suncoast.
