Elmer P. Van Demark
December 31, 1915 — March 13, 2006
Van Demark- Elmer P. "Red" 90 of Seminole Florida formerly of Budd Lake, New Jersey passed away Monday, March 13, 2006 at Palm Garden of Largo Florida. Born in Belleville New Jersey, he moved to Treasure Island Florida in 1976 from Budd Lake, where he was a Sergeant with the Mt. Olive Township Police Department. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police; the Budd Lake Volunteer Fire Department; was a charter member of the Budd Lake First Aide Squad and was a Life Member of the Royal Arcanum, Woodside Chapter, Newark NJ. He attended the Church by the Sea, Madeira Beach. Survivors include his wife of 65 years Evelyn; a son Kenneth (Charleen) of Langhorne PA; a daughter Sandra (Robert) Walton of Rockaway New Jersey; four grandchildren, Lauren (Douglas) Roskos, Craig (Carla) Van Demark, David Walton and Julie (Wayne) Grenewicz and four great-grandchildren, Kalli and Drew Roskos and Kyle and Raymond Grenewicz and son-in-law Frank Ogden. Mr. Van Demark was pre-deceased by his loving daughter Barbara Ogden.
Funeral services will be 2PM Saturday, March 18 2006 in the David C. Gross Funeral Home Chapel, 6366 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg FL, with interment to follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, St. Petersburg. The family will greet friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service. Online guestbook and memorial at www.davidcgross.com.
