Frances Mckinney

February 26, 1941 — February 1, 2018

Frances Bell-McKinney passed peacefully February 1st, 2018 in Clearwater, Florida. She slipped quietly from her earthly bounds into eternal rest after fighting a long battle of lung cancer. Frances better known as “Mom, Nanny or Franny” was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on February 26th, 1941 to Edward and Virginia Bell. She was a breast and cervical cancer survivor. She was as stubborn as they come and gave her all into fighting her battles. Her love of elephants and rabbits ranked right next to the love she had for her family. Franny was world-renowned for her lack of patience, not holding back her opinion and had a quick wit for telling it like it was. She always told you the truth, even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear…always later to be followed by “I told you so!” With that said, she was very genuine, a pussy cat at heart (or a lion) yet she sugars coated nothing. Frances is survived by her 5 children, Terri (Marty) Roman of Richmond, Indiana, Charles McKinney of Richmond, Indiana, Penny (Brett) Conway of Largo, Florida, Tina (Doug) Cottongim and Robert (Tammy) McKinney of Fountain City, Indiana. 10 grandchildren, Shannon Craft, Jessica Mullins, Casey Bennett, Cheyenne Hensley, Michael & Bryon Cottongim, Justin & Shelby McKinney, Bobby & Nathan McKinney; 14 great grandchildren. Brothers, Jerry (Wilena) Bell of Leesburg, Florida and Rick Williams. Sister-in-law Virginia Bell of Denton, Texas. Not to be excluded, Connie Morris of Richmond, Indiana, unbiological daughter of many years. Along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her spouse, Hubert McKinney Jr, parents, Edward (1966) & Virginia (1978) Bell, her sister Sharon Hoover (2000) and her brother Phil Bell (2016). Memorial Service will be 2 PM on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Kenneth City Community Hall, 4600 58th St. N., Kenneth City. Pastor Len Ward will officiate. Light refreshments will be served following the service.
