MINTERS - Frances C., of St. Petersburg, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. Born in Montreal, Canada, she came to Florida in 1994 from New York City. She worked at Barnes and Noble from 1966 through 1970 as an editor, then free lanced as an author of children's books. She co-wrote two books, one on epilepsy the other on teeth implants and was a member of the Society of Author's and Illustrators. She was a member of Temple Beth El, St. Petersburg. Survivors include her husband of thirty years, Arthur; two daughters, Elizabeth and Michele Minters, both of St. Petersburg, one brother, Dr. Ronald Caplan and one sister, Karen Altfest, both of New York City and one grandson, Jack A. Queen of St. Petersburg.
All services to be held Thursday in New Milford, Connecticut with interment to follow in Center Cemetery, Temple Sholom section, New Milford, CT.
David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Beth David Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family.
