Irene Sentler Goldberg
January 19, 1914 — February 18, 2007
GOLDBERG - Irene Sentler, 93, of St. Petersburg and formerly of Five Towns and South Pasadena, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2007 at Menorah Manor in St. Petersburg. She came to Florida in 1971 from her native Providence, Rhode Island where she retired as a bookkeeper at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company after forty-four years of service. She was a member of the Metropolitan Social Club in Providence and St. Petersburg where she served as Secretary and Bookkeeper and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star in Cranston, Rhode Island. She was an avid shopper and loved traveling and dancing. Survivors include nephews Charles Dean, St. Petersburg, Florida; Richard Stiegel, Tampa, Florida; Sherman Stiegel, LaMirada, California and William Dean; Charleston, South Carolina; one hundred fifty-seven nieces and nephews in the United Kingdom and one cousin, Jeannette Nyman of Birmingham, Alabama.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Menorah Gardens, Largo, Florida with Rabbi Gabriel Ben-Or officiating.
David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Beth David Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family.
The family suggests memorial donations in lieu of flowers be made to Menorah Manor, 255 59th Street North, St. Petersburg, Florida 33710.
