PETRYSZAK, LINDA JO, 55, passed away on March 21, 2008 under hospice care at Woodside Hospice, Pinellas Park, Florida after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania on March 23, 1952, Linda called Treasure Island her home since 1993. She attended Eckerd College and received her degree in Accounting in 1998. Over the years she was employed by the veterinary, hospitality and manufacturing industries. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her loving and compassionate spirit, her unselfish loyalty, and her generous gift of self to any animal or person in need. She enjoyed traveling, fine food and wine, and classical, folk and jazz music. Later in life she discovered she had considerable talent as a painter and sculptor, and was a strong supporter of the arts. She was a master of the ancient rare art of Russian Pysanky egg painting and gave many away to her friends and family as treasured gifts. She is survived by her fiancAC., Greg Pellone of Treasure Island, FL and two sons, Chris of Beaverton, Oregon and Peter and his wife Cathy of Corvallis, Oregon, her four brothers and their wives Victor and Liz Meyer, Roger(Lee) and Edna Meyer, Jerry and Mary Meyer and Ron and Mickey Meyer. She will be remembered as a loving grandmother by Ranen Petryszak of Beaverton, Oregon as well as an adopted grandmother to her fiance's grandchildren, Gavin, Dylan and Riley. She also leaves behind a large extended family and friends primarily from the Philadelphia and surrounding area of Pennsylvania which was her home for over 30 years.
