Richard “Rick” “Rich” James Hometchko, 58, of Pinellas Park, Florida, passed away, Monday, January 23, 2018.
Richard was born May 23, 1959 in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Helen (Kender) Hometchko. He graduated from Bishop O’Reilly High School in Pennsylvania in 1977. He then studied at Boston Architectural Center before moving to Florida and obtaining his Bachelors degree in Business from the University of South Florida. Richard was employed as a Construction Administrator for Mason Blau & Associates Inc. in Clearwater, Florida. Richard enjoyed vocal jazz and classic rock music on vinyl, was an avid hockey fan, and loved spicy foods. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his children and grandchild.
Richard is survived by his two daughters, Rileigh Hometchko and Kendra Hometchko of Largo, FL and his step-daughter Ashley Thomas of Largo, FL; one grandchild, Chase Thomas of Largo, Fl; his brother David Hometchko of Charlotte, NC; his Niece Vickie Tomberlin of Clearwater, Fl; his Nephew Michael Hometchko of St. Petersburg, FL; and two grandnieces Londynn and Brooklynn of Clearwater, Fl. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Helen Hometchko, and his brother Joseph Hometchko.
A service will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, January 31st at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, 10895 Hamlin Blvd Largo, FL 33774. The service will be followed by a celebration of life at 14489 Kandi Court Largo, FL 33774 .
In Spring, Richard will return to Swoyersville, Pennsylvania where his soul will rest in peace alongside his beloved Mother and Father.
