Ryan J. Marcus

Ryan Joseph Marcus, 29, of Tampa, Florida, died suddenly on Saturday, December 5th, 2015 in Tampa. Ryan was born January 6th, 1986, in Fairfax, Virginia. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Diane M. Bassing and William R. Bassing of Warrenton, Virginia, his father and step-mother, Joseph W. Marcus and Suzanne Marcus of Winchester, Virginia, his brother, Joshua W. Marcus of Clearwater Beach, Florida, his grandparents, Joyce L. and Donald W. (Zeke) Marcus of Arlington, Virginia, step-brothers, step-sister, and sister-in-law, Mark and Amanda Wilkinson of Ashburn, Virginia, William R. Bassing, Jr. of Warrenton, Virginia and Emily M. Bassing of Charlottesville, Virginia, a nephew, Cole Wilkinson. Ryan was also fortunate to have the love of numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ryan graduated from Fairview High School in Boulder, Colorado and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and an Associates in Economics from George Mason University. Ryan loved fitness and the great outdoors doing many activities, playing hockey and being MVP Defenseman, riding his bike,hiking, snowboarding, fishing, hunting, and camping. He loved to read, watch movies and listen to music, all different kinds of music a little loud at times! He had a sweet smile and loved to talk to people which helped in his chosen profession of sales. Ryan will be missed by all who knew him;he left this life way too soon. A memorial service will be held on January 16th, 2016 at 11am at Cherrydale Baptist Church located at 3910 Lorcom Ln, Arlington, VA 22207.
