Shirley M. Griggs

Mrs. Shirley Marie Griggs, 78, of St. Petersburg, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2008 while under the care of Hospice. She came to Florida in 1982 from her native Detroit, Michigan and was a receptionist for a hearing aid company for many years. She was Lutheran. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed ball room dancing with her husband Peter; clothes shopping and spending time with her family. Survivors include her two daughters; Deborah (Jerry Price) Griggs of Sanderson, Florida and Sharon (Mark) Pritikin of Lake Barrington, Illinois and three grandchildren, Lindsay Pritikin, Zachary Pritikin and Justin Pritikin, all of Lake Barrington, Illinois. A memorial service will be at 11 AM on Saturday, February 23, 2008, friends will be received from 10 AM until service time at the David C. Gross Funeral Home Chapel, 6366 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, Interment will be private. Mrs. Griggs was precedesd in death by her beloved husband, Peter Griggs and her son, Donald Griggs. David C. Gross Funeral Home is serving the family. The family suggests memorial donations be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society. Service Information
