Shuna Boodram

Mr. Shuna Boodram, 63, passed away March 28, 2008 at Bay Pines VA Hospital. He was born in Arouca, Trinidad, served in the US Army as an M.P. during the Vietnam conflict and was a Jehovah's Witness. He retired from the Safeway Food Company in Washington, D.C. after thirty-four years of service where he began as a cashier, worked in produce, became a butcher, assistant manager, then manager. He also was their Union Representative. He moved to Florida in 2000 to help take care of his ailing parents. His hobbies and interests include traveling, cooking, fishing reading and spending quality time with his family. He was charasmatic, fun loving, outgoing and helpful to anyone who needed his assistance. Survivors include two sons, Shuna II and Ashante and one daughter, Aisha; five brothers, five sisters and six grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at David C. Gross Funeral Home, 6366 Central Avenue where the family will read eulogies at 6 pm. Cremation will be private. David C. Gross Funeral Home is serving the family. Service Information
