Sidney Radis
December 11, 1913 — April 1, 2008
Sidney Radis 94, born in Chicago, Illinois December 11, 1913 and passed away April1, 2008. He is survived by Sylvia, his wife for over 70 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Devoted son to Rose and Charles and preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law Albert and Sadie Radis.
His survivors include daughter Frances (Michael) of Scottsdale, AZ, son, Orrin (Nancy) of Skokie, IL, daughter, Jackie, of Santa Fe, NM, daughter, Holly (Glen) McCluskey of St. Paul, MN; His six grandchildren, Cynthia, Stephen (Celia), Heather Sloan, Scott (Jennifer), Mark (Stefanie), Craig (Deborah) Radis; His twelve great-grandchildren, Aaron, Lena Freid, Joshua, Violet Sloan, Alexa, Rebecca, Emma, Harrison, Ruby, Phoebe, Jacob, Joshua Radis.
In his earlier years, while attending Northwestern University School of Commerce, Sidney practiced his violin and was an active musician and orchestra leader. He graduated to become an accountant to friends and relatives and a Comptroller at Hefter Coal & Oil Company for 39 years. He enjoyed all sports especially bowling and golf. An avid sports fan, he spent many a fun-filled day at his favorite park, Wrigley Field, watching his Cubs and eating hot dogs.
Sidney took pleasure in making others smile and laugh and had a great love for children and animals. He was a generous man assisting many while sharing his organizational skills and accounting expertise.
Family played a major role in Sidney's full life, coordinating many a creative event with his cousins, aunts, and uncles in the Oril Family Club for over 50 years.
Making a pact with his fraternity brothers 34 years ago, Sidney moved with his wife and close friends to Florida. He became involved with the development of Point Brittany and an active member of the Pasadena Yacht & Country Club. When family came to visit, he took great pride in exploring and sharing his paradise.

Private Cremation. There will be no local service.
David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Beth Daivd Chapel, is serving the family.
