Sue Ellen Hoy 81 of Clearwater Fl died Wednesday July 29th 2020. She was born March 16 1939 in Chicago Il. Sue was the second oldest of 5 children.Her family moved to Elgin Il where she attended Elgin High School in 1957. It was At Elgin High School where she met John Hoy Sr the love of her life. Sue and John married after High School and settled in a new house later in Country Knolls. Sue worked at Chicago Raw Hide for a period of time. Sue then decided to stay at home to take care of her children. Later on as the kids grew up she went back to work for Siegel’s, Becks Office Supply, and then Hanchett Insurance. They lived their adult lives in Elgin and later bought their retirement home in Clearwater Florida. Sue and John were married 61 years and had just recently celebrated their anniversary.
Sue has two children John Hoy ( Jr ) (Tammy) and Sally Ann Ross (Rodney Ross). She has six grandchildren (Rodney Ross II, Justin Ross, John Hoy, Joshua Ross, Jillian Hoy and Jacob Hoy. She also has 8 great grandchildren. Sue was a awesome mother, grandma and great grandmother She loved all of them with all her heart ❤️.
Sue and John had a life long love for each other and had been retired the last 22 years in Clearwater Florida. She will be dearly missed by all. May her love and zest for life live within all of us that knew her.

The care of Mrs. Hoy and her family has been entrusted to David C. Gross Funeral Home in St. Petersburg.
