Robert E. Cloutier 45, died Sunday, August 29, 2010 at University Medical Center from injuries sustained in a plane accident at Marana Northwest Regional Airport where he was employed as a flight instructor. Bob's life revolved around his family and flying. Born in Woonsocket, RI on May 16, 1965, he spent his childhood in Wrentham, MA where he graduated high school in 1983, enlisting in the Air Force later that same year. As a USAF Communications Specialist Bob, his wife, Tina, and their children, Brian and Erin were stationed at seven different bases around the world, before Bob retired from the Air Force in 2008 after over 24 years of service where he had the honor of flying on several different military platforms including the EC-135, E-4, AWACS, and C-130. Bob received his private pilot license in 1990 and his instructor rating in 2002. He graduated from Embry Riddle with a degree in Aviation. His aviation experiences include flight instruction, being a co-pilot for Mesa Airlines on a Dash-8, bringing up jumpers at Marana Skydiving Center, and recently as a back-up pilot for Rampart Aviation at Pinal Airpark. At the time of his death he was the Chief Flight Instructor for Tucson AeroService Center. He was not just a beloved husband, father and son, but also a mentor and friend to all who knew him. Bob is survived by his wife of 21 years, Tina; their children, Brian and Erin; his parents, Paul and Jeanne; two brothers, Edward (Candy) and Steven (Denise); two nieces, Ellen and Marissa; two nephews, Kyle and Justin and a maternal grandmother, Jackie Archambault, all of Woonsocket. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Grace (1995); a sister, Paula (1972); his maternal grandfather and his paternal grandparents. A Memorial Service was held at David Monthan AFB on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. A second Memorial Service is being held at Marana Northwest Regional Airport on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. Arrangements by DESERT SUNSET FUNERAL HOME.
