Gordon Lee Curran, 82, left this earth quietly and peacefully on May 15, 2026.
Gordy (aka Crash) was born in Tacoma on June 14, 1943, the oldest child of the late Gordon and Katherine Curran. He grew up in Tacoma’s Old Town and Proctor districts and continued living in north end Tacoma throughout his life. Gordy graduated from Stadium High School in 1961 and married the love of his life, Mary, in 1963. Together they raised three children and remained inseparable for 52 years until she passed in 2015.
Gordy started his early career in the United States Navy and then transitioned to civilian life working as a union crane operator first at ASARCO and then General Metals/Schnitzer Steel. Following his work career, Gordy continued to enjoy an active social life in the community where he especially took pleasure in coordinating a multitude of sports leagues. He was known for his friendly nature, sarcastic humor, and love of all dogs far and wide.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Irene “Mary” Curran and his sister Marilyn Fameli.
