Harold “Fred” Palmer Jr. of Spanaway, Washington, passed away peacefully Monday, April 27th at the age of 76.

Fred was born in 1949 to Edith “Marie” and Harold “Hal” Palmer Sr. in San Francisco, California. After graduating from Vashon Island High School and Western Washington State College with an MA focused in Art/Art Studies, he began a career in retail sales and sales management.

Fred Palmer had many hobbies, with most connected in some way to his love of the open waters. This was reflected in his passion for sailing and in his expressive watercolor paintings of sailboats and lighthouses. He was known as a kind-hearted and caring friend, brother, son, and father. Most importantly, Fred’s faith in Christ as his savior was what ultimately defined him.

He is survived by his children, Kelly, Noel, Stacy, Damien, and Ryan, his sisters Jill, Adele, and Laurie and his brother Matt.

Visitation will be held at a private residence on Wednesday, May 6th from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 5:00 pm.

Flowers may be delivered to Edwards Memorial Funeral Home at 3005 Bridgeport Way W, University Place, WA, 98466 by 1:00 pm, Wednesday, May 6th.
