Rosa Elaine Hill Rosa Elaine Hill, born August 4, 1930, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on November 5th, 2018. She was born and lived in Nuremberg, Germany, until marrying Walter, her husband of 64 years, in 1954. After the war and Walter’s honorable discharge from the military, they settled in Tacoma, Washington to raise a family. Rosa’s life revolved around her family. She loved spending time with her daughters and is remembered as a wonderfully kind, soft hearted, and sweet mother. She created many special memories with her grandchildren, teaching them German phrases and treating them to ice cream and candy. She loved telling stories about her life in Germany. She was a fun-loving person, always singing and dancing with an infectious silliness, and she will be missed dearly. Rosa is survived by her husband, Walter, daughters Margaret Garnes and Linda Hill-Moore, grandchildren Andrew, Mac, Ivan, and Tiffany, and great grandchildren Jackson and Scout.
