Mary Marie Mcfarland

Mary (Marie) McFarland; 81, of Englewood died Monday, July 27, 2009 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital. She was born June 17, 1928 in Ireland to James and Sarah (Shirley) Woodend. Mrs. McFarland moved to Englewood in 2001 from Hatboro, PA after retiring from Bell Telephone Co. in Philadelphia after 30 years of service as a Service Supervisor. She was a member of St. David's Episcopal Church in Englewood and a member of the OES. Marie enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, loved animals and was a voracious reader. Survivors include her son Robert McFarland: sister; Elizabeth Whitlock of Southampton, PA., brother; James Woodend of Medford Lakes, NJ., and one granddaughter; Kate McFarland. A Memorial Service will be held at St. David Episcopal Church 401 S. Broadway Englewood, FL 34223 on Tuesday, August 2 at 11:00 AM.
