November 21, 1946 — June 25, 2017
Scott Davis Morris, 70, of Rotonda West passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Blake Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida.
Born on November 21, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Robert and Violet (Dewyer) Morris; Scott had served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a life member and an officer of the V.F. W Post 10476.
Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-four years: Janice M. Morris; one son: Scott D. Morris, II of Englewood, Florida; one daughter: Lauren E. Morris of Marietta, Georgia; four sisters: Beth (Gary) Hodge of Lake Orion, Michigan; Pam (Jon) Liljestrand of Palmer Lake, Colorado; Debbie (Jan) Geverink of Allen Park, Michigan; Donna (Dave) Walens of Marietta, Georgia and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 12:30 Pm until service time at 2 Pm at the Englewood Community Funeral Home with Private Crematory, 3070 South McCall Road, Englewood. The Reverend Carl Kaltreider will officiate.
Inurnment and honors will be in Sarasota National VA Cemetery on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 10:30 Am.
Memorial contributions may be made to VOAF PG Veterans Village (Voluneters of America Florida - Punta Gorda Veterans Village) mail to VFW Post 10476, 3725 Cape Haze Drive, Rotonda West, FL 33947 in memory of Scott Morris.
