Harvey Lee Bartlett

Harvey Lee Bartlett of Gilbert passed away on June 18, 2009 in Gilbert Arizona, he was 73 years old. He was born on June 19, 1935 in Kansas City Mo . He is survived by his wife of 56 yrs, Georgetta Bartlett of Gilbert, two sons Bob (Marty) Bartlett of Gilbert, and Johnny (Virginia) Bartlett of Wyoming, three daughters Becky Miller of Chandler, Kathy (Tim) Anderson of Colorado, and Holly Bartlett of Chandler, three sisters, Norma Jackson of Missouri, Dee Burke and Sue Glaze both of Mesa, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Mary, 2 sisters Pat Wood and Mary Bossert, and brother Robert. Harvey was raised on farms around Kansas City, went to high school in Brookfield where he met his wife Georgetta. They had their first four children in Missouri and then moved to Arizona in February 1962 where they had their 5th child. Most of Harvey"s career was spent at Allied Signal Aerospace in Phoenix and Tempe where he worked as a carpenter and retired after 25 years as a maintenance supervisor. Harvey was a member of the Maricopa County and Pinal County Mounted Sheriff"s Posses, where he belonged to the search and rescue team and was involved in their roping programs. For recreation Harvey was a member of the Copperstate Off Road Association where he and his family enjoyed many off road adventures. He was an outdoorsman; he enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and traveling. He enjoyed life and one of his biggest joys was his family. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend and will be dearly missed by all. His faith and church were very important to him throughout his life, currently he was a member of Life Community Church of Gilbert. Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 23, 2009 between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM at Falconer Funeral Home, 251 W Juniper Ave, Gilbert AZ. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday June 24, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Life Community Church 415 N Gilbert Rd, Gilbert AZ. Internment will be private.
