Edward Joseph Kramer

November 6, 1944 – May 23, 2026

Edward “Eddie” Kramer, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, at the age of 81, in the comfort of his home surrounded by family and his beloved pets, after a long and courageous fight with cancer. (Eddie fought all 12 rounds)

He was a great man with a kind heart, strong spirit, and deep love for his family and friends. He devoted his life to those he loved and was known by many as a dependable friend, a proud family man, and someone who always welcomed others with warmth, humor, and compassion. His presence brought comfort, laughter, wisdom, and strength to everyone around him.

Born and raised in Rochester, New York, he carried the values of hard work and perseverance with him throughout his life. He loved to work out, with a 3 hour boxing workout was normal, that gave him the right to have his “freezer deodorizers”, which were frozen snickers. He loved golf, boating, hiking, and long walks with his dogs in the park every day, he said he did his prayers and meditation on those walks. One of his favorite places was being near the water and beaches, a place that reflected his appreciation for peace and simple beauty.

His nemesis on occasion, give him a cigar, a VO and water, or a glass of wine. Not a better way to end a day.

Construction was both his passion and his lifelong profession. He began his career in masonry and often spoke about how those early years shaped him, sharing stories of hard work, strong hands, and the toll it took on his knees. He was proud of the discipline it taught him and he carried those lessons throughout his life. Eddie went on to own multiple businesses in the construction industry and designed several of his homes. In his later years, he continued to share his expertise as a consultant, remaining connected to the work he loved.

He was a man of many names, each one given with love and affection by the people fortunate enough to know him. He was known as Dad, Eddie, Ed, Pops, Pop, Papa, Grandpa, Poppa Lupo, Pops On Tops, Padre, Poppa Eddie, Goomba, and even Mr. Wonderful. No matter what name he went by, every one of them carried deep endearment and love, because he was truly cherished by everyone whose life he touched.

He was very spiritual throughout his life. He was raised in the Catholic faith , and as he grew older, continued to carry his spirituality with him, holding onto his beliefs and sense of faith until the end.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Janelle) Black-Kramer, who stood by his side throughout life with unwavering love and devotion.

His sister, Margaret (Robert “Bob”) Meisenzahl; and his brother, Michael (Anne) Kramer.

His adored children, Lauri Mattle (Jim Miles), Edward D. Kramer (aka Ed Jr.), Michael (Gina) Kramer, Lisa (Ben) Arnold, Danielle Kramer (Phillip L. Lecceardone), Michele (Dominick “Dom”) Satterlee, and Kory (Elicia) Black.

His grandchildren, Lauren Mattle, Kristin and Lindzey Kramer, Ava and Aaron Arnold, Phillip G. Lecceardone, Rachele Rogue, Samantha and Alexis Chapman, Logan, Alora, and Alaina Black.

He was blessed to witness the arrival of several great-grandchildren, a gift that brought him tremendous pride and joy; Audrina, Jalina, Josiah, Alaiya, Serene, Chantelle, and Hailey.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

As our pack grows, so does our strength. We are building our own little tribe, rooted in fierce love and endless loyalty. Eddie's love, guidance, and devotion to family helped lay a foundation, and his influence will continue to live on through each generation that follows.

He cherished his family and friends deeply and treasured the moments spent together. Whether through stories, laughter, advice, shared meals, or simply being present, he created memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Josephine Kramer. Two of his sisters: Kathleen Kramer, and Patricia (Pat) Kramer.

Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy of love, loyalty, humor, and devotion to family and friends will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

Let’s say it, the man could talk, and we all loved to hear his stories.
