Kenneth R. Doerr, 73, of North Port, FL and formerly of Woodridge, IL passed away on April 16, 2022. Ken was born on April 4,1949 in Chicago, IL. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Karen E. Doerr; his step-son, Jason P. Jones of California; granddaughter, Addison Grace Jones of California; his two sons, Michael (Kelly) Doerr of IL and Nicholas (Kayla) Doerr of Nebraska; his sister, Sandi Eineke of IL; their Florida daughter, Victoria (Scott) Randolph of Port Charlotte, FL;; and his special family, Kelly (Shawn) Hallmer of Braceville, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-daughter, Jessica L. Jones of IL; and his brother, Randy Doerr of KY.
He was a very proud U.S. Marine and spent his time working as a land surveyor. Ken was a member of the Moose Lodge #764 and AmVets Post 312. He loved to golf and was a fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago White Sox, and the Tampa Bay Rays.
A service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on May 16, 2022 at 12:30pm. Memorial contributions can be directed to Tidewell Hospice (5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238). Farley Funeral Home in North Port is in charge of arrangements.
