Edmund Charles Mogford

Edmund C. Mogford, 93, of Venice, FL passed away July 10, 2015. Edmund was born January 17, 1922 in Flint, MI to Bernice Ione (Beck) and Harry James Mogford. He graduated from Kentucky Military Institute in 1941 and served in the U.S. Marines, South Pacific, as a 1st Lt. and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. Survivors include his beloved wife of 69 years, Gloria; son, Edmund C. Mogford, Jr. (his wife, Darrell); two daughters: Meg Mogford of Donnelly, ID and Martha (her husband, Bill) Tunningley; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Harriett (husband, Jack) Nichols of Fullerton, CA. A Memorial Service will be held at 4 PM, Thursday, July 16 at First Baptist Church of Venice.
